About Dana Lewis Shropshire wedding photographer

Your Fun-Loving, Documentary-Style Shropshire Wedding Photographer

Hi! I’m Dana, and I’ve been photographing weddings since 2012. What started as a passion project has become the career of my dreams and honestly, I love this work more with every wedding I photograph.

I’m based in Telford, Shropshire, and I work with fun-loving, laid-back couples throughout Shropshire, the West Midlands, and across the UK.

My couples often describe me as “bonkers, nuts, and fun” (their words, not mine!), and I take that as the highest compliment. I’m a social butterfly with a great sense of humor and a love of banter, which means your wedding day will be filled with laughter, not awkward silences.

My approach to wedding photography is simple: capture the real you. I hate stiff poses and cheesy grins as much as you do. Instead, I focus on genuine moments, the belly laughs, the happy tears, the spontaneous dance moves, and all those little interactions that make your day uniquely yours.

Think documentary-style storytelling with a splash of creativity and a true-to-colour editing style that looks like your actual day.

The Girl Behind the Camera

My Photography Philosophy

I believe your wedding photos should feel like you, not some staged, Pinterest-perfect version of someone else’s wedding.

That’s why I don’t do:

❌ Awkward, stiff poses

❌ Cheesy grins at the camera

❌ Over-directed group shots that take forever

❌ Over-filtered, overly dramatic editing

Instead, I focus on:

✅ Natural, candid moments

✅ Genuine emotions and interactions

✅ Making everyone feel comfortable and at ease

✅ Capturing your day as it unfolds

✅ True-to-colour editing that stands the test of time

I’m there to document your story, not orchestrate it. You’ll barely notice me as I move around, catching those fleeting glances, spontaneous laughs, and emotional moments that happen when people forget there’s a camera around.

Quality Over Quantity

I intentionally limit myself to just 25 weddings per year.

Why? Because I want to give each couple my full energy, attention, and creativity.

Wedding photography isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion. And I can’t give you my best if I’m burned out from shooting 50+ weddings a year.

Limiting my bookings means:

You get my full focus and energy on your day

I have time to scout your venue beforehand if it’s new to me

I can deliver your photos quickly (within 6 weeks, not 6 months)

Every wedding feels special and unique, not like “just another Saturday”

I maintain the passion and excitement that makes this work so fulfilling

If you’re reading this and your date is available, don’t wait too long, especially for peak season (May-September)!
