Shropshire Wedding Photography: Will & Lizzie’s Church Wedding in Clun

Shropshire wedding photography captures the beauty of real love stories set against peaceful countryside backdrops and Will and Lizzie’s wedding in Clun is the perfect example.

From a heartfelt church ceremony to sunset portraits in the Shropshire hills, their day was full of the genuine moments I love to photograph.

A Heartfelt Church Ceremony in Clun

To begin their celebration, Will and Lizzie exchanged vows at St John the Evangelist Church in the quiet village of Clun. Nestled in the hills, it’s one of those rare places that feels completely untouched by time.

The church was filled with warm light, happy tears, and emotional glances. When Lizzie walked down the aisle, Will’s expression said everything. Their ceremony was full of love, laughter, and connection the perfect start to their marriage.

A Relaxed Reception at The Grain Loft

Next, the reception unfolded at The Grain Loft, one of my favourite venues for Shropshire wedding photography. It blends rustic charm with relaxed elegance — exposed beams, twinkling lights, and sweeping views of the countryside.

Inside, guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up in equal measure. The couple’s fun, down-to-earth nature made the whole day feel welcoming and joyful. Before the dance floor got going, we snuck out for a few sunset portraits, always a must.

Countryside Portraits in the Shropshire Hills

After the ceremony, we wandered into the countryside for portraits. Clun is one of those rare places that feels untouched. The hills roll on forever, the air is calm, and everything slows down.

Will and Lizzie walked hand-in-hand along farm tracks, sharing laughs and quiet kisses. The Shropshire countryside created a soft, golden backdrop that made every frame feel like a storybook scene.

As someone who specialises in Shropshire wedding photography, I’m always inspired by the way light dances through these hills. On this day, it was pure magic.

Why I Love Being a Shropshire Wedding Photographer

Days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do. Being a Shropshire wedding photographer isn’t just about taking pretty pictures, it’s about witnessing real connection, preserving those blink-and-you-miss-it moments, and telling each couple’s story in a way that feels true to them.

Shropshire offers the dream combo: historic villages, sweeping landscapes, cosy venues, and the kind of peaceful beauty that never feels overdone. Whether it’s a church wedding like Will and Lizzie’s, a barn celebration, or a wild hilltop elopement, this county delivers the kind of love stories I’m honoured to document.
