Issy and Matt’s Royle Forest wedding video captures everything they care about most real moments, big laughs, and an intimate woodland celebration surrounded by the people they love.
Filmed in Burton-on-Trent, this relaxed, documentary-style wedding was full of emotion, family connection, and one very memorable smoke bomb moment.
Surrounded by close friends and family, Issy and Matt said their vows in a peaceful woodland setting. No over-the-top production, no forced moments just genuine love and connection. As a documentary wedding videographer, I’m always looking for those in-between glances, the nervous hand squeezes, the way the light filters through the trees during a quiet pause and this ceremony had it all.
Every Moment Captured
Later, during portraits, we pulled out the smoke bombs because why not add a little drama? That’s when Matt, fully committed to the moment, accidentally burned himself on the smoke bomb. (Don’t worry, he’s fine!)
But that moment perfectly captured the vibe of the day: a little chaotic, full of laughter, and totally unfiltered.
In fact, it’s those little unscripted moments that make wedding films like this so powerful. The giggles during vows, the way Issy looked at Matt when no one else was watching, the massive group hugs all of it speaks louder than any choreographed shot ever could.
Family Fill Celebration
What stood out most about this day? The way everyone came together. From emotional speeches to epic dance floor moves, Issy and Matt’s families poured so much love into the celebration. This wasn’t just a wedding, it was a gathering of soulmates and their people, celebrating something real.
As a Burton-on-Trent wedding videographer, I feel lucky to document weddings like this where nothing is overly staged, and the story unfolds naturally with all its perfect imperfections.
I absolutely loved capturing this Royale Forest wedding video it’s days like this that remind me why real moments will always matter more than staged ones.
Let’s chat. I’d love to help you capture your day exactly how it felt laughter, chaos, beauty and all.
